Maurice de Mauriac is an independent watch brand from Zurich, originally founded by Daniel Dreifuss. While the brand has lost a visionary founder, it has gained his three children, who are now carrying his legacy forward — not only preserving it, but evolving and enriching it.
The WatchBros Massimo and Leonard, along with the WatchSis Masha, have inherited their father’s creativity and passionate obsession with time and watchmaking. Together, they continue to shape Maurice de Mauriac with the mission of creating high-quality, personal timepieces — all handcrafted in their atelier in the heart of Zurich. At its heart lies the slightly more compact Modern Automatic. Originally developed by Daniel Dreifuss, it was his sons—the Watchbros—who taught the watch Swiss German and made its Zurich roots visible. If the place of time matters to you, you’ll find a faithful companion in this watch.
Personalization (engraving text on the rotor) is available for CHF 150, and additional options—including an extra strap—can be found on MDM's Website.

Shipping a New Watch
When you purchase a watch from MDM, you will receive two separate shipments. The first contains the watch in a specially designed transport package to ensure maximum protection. The second includes the Maurice de Mauriac wooden presentation and storage box, along with all relevant documentation.
Delivery Time
Delivery takes approximately 3–7 days, depending on the destination country.
Free Delivery in Zurich with MDM’s Land Rover
Using MDM’s vintage Land Rover “Landy,” we’ll pick up your watch for servicing or repair directly from your preferred location—home, office, or any favorite spot in Zurich—and return it swiftly. MDM can also deliver a new watch or curated selection for you to try on, meeting wherever is most convenient.
Tracking Your Shipment
Once MDM ships your watch, you’ll receive an email with a UPS tracking number so you can monitor its progress and plan for delivery.
Shipping Costs for a Watch
Standard UPS courier shipping is CHF 79 worldwide. MDM covers this cost for all customers, and no additional import duties will apply. This policy also applies to Swiss domestic addresses, which we would normally ship via Swiss Post for CHF 25.
Shipping Costs for Accessories
For orders under CHF 250, MDM charges CHF 12 worldwide and CHF 8 within Switzerland. Accessories and watch straps are shipped via Swiss Post.
International Warranty
MDM offers a 24‑month international warranty, reflecting our commitment to the finest materials and carefully vetted suppliers.
Returns
Every MDM watch is custom‑manufactured to your order, making returns costly. Nevertheless, MDM provides free returns of unworn watches within 14 days of delivery—provided they show no signs of wear. If a returned watch bears wear or damage, MDM will invoice you for the cost of restoring it to “like‑new” condition.
